Nepal has experienced a significant temperature rise of approximately 0.6°C over the past 40 years, which is more pronounced in the Himalayas. This warming trend has led to increased glacial melt, threatening water security for billions in South Asia. The country has also seen erratic weather patterns, with unpredictable monsoon rains causing both floods and droughts, negatively impacting agriculture and food security, especially in the Terai region.
